Foscam IP cameras usually upload video files in .MKV format. Most web browsers cannot directly play .MKV videos. CameraFTP cloud server can automatically convert .MKV video files into .MP4 format, which is universally supported.
Your Foscam IP camera is new. It uploads video files in High Efficiency Video Coding (.HEVC) format. The HEVC (H.265) video compression standard is intended to succeed H.264, but many browsers have not supported it as it is complex and expensive to license. Please try to change the video format to H.264/.MKV, or if it supports, change it to .MP4 format.
Please note the .HEVC video files were directly created and uploaded by your IP camera. CameraFTP server made no changes to the HEVC video files. If they cannot be played in a web browser, it is fine. You can still download them to your local PC and then play them locally using a supported video player, e.g. VLC video player. To batch download your video files, you can use an FTP client such as FileZilla, or use DriveHQ FileManager. Please watch this video for more info. You can also try to view your camera using CameraFTP Viewer app for iOS, Android and Windows. Please visit www.cameraftp.com and click Software for more info about our Viewer apps.
