If you ordered a motion-recording plan, then your camera will only upload when it detected a motion event. You cannot set it to record continuously if you use CameraFTP's virtual camera apps (such as our Mobile Security Camera or CameraFTP VSS software). You need to upgrade to a continuous-recording plan first. However, even if you only ordered a motion-recording plan, you can view your live camera from anywhere. It supports 2-way live video and audio viewing and calling.

If you use a regular IP camera (without using CameraFTP VSS software as a virtual NVR), you can set it to record continuously as CameraFTP cannot control your IP camera: but you could exceed the usage limit. You can do it for a short period of time for testing. For long term use, please configure your IP camera to upload based on the service plan you ordered. 

If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact CameraFTP customer support. If you use our virtual camera / NVR apps, please send the event log from the virtual camera app. ( Usually you don't need to send the event log from the Viewer app. )
