List of business Ideas

Shahriar's Idea's

1) Wireless temperatur control system for controlling individual rooms in the house

2) Wireless invisible fence to avoid deers and other animals enter the property.  this also can be used for roads to prevent deers entering the roads.

3) Decorative lights using LED for decorating christmass tree and bushes outside of the house
   
   a) Solar cell can be included so lights can work at further locations from the house as well.

4) the light that people put behind their window usualy in the christams time frame (some keep the light throughout the year).  Looking from outside, it will look like they have lighted a candle behind their window.  If this light work with solar cell, it will use less power, and requires no wiring.  Current one in the market use wires and they are sometime messy, and easy to fall because of the wire hanging on the floor.


5) Using Leds for lamps and directly connecting them to power source.  Competing with transformer based lightening.  The light should be placeable into a regular light bulb socket. Advantages:  low cost, last long time.

       i) I think this will have great market, I suggest making hand made prototypes, so it can be shown to companies like home depot, or lowes, or even small owned hardware stores. If the final package is $1.30 or less, it will work financially. If the volume goes high, I am sure the base price will drop sharply, but for now, we can do something with $1.30


6) Wireless router is very common in the US houses now a day.  So if things in the house can have a receiver on them that can comply to the comunication protocol, those things can be directly controlled by the computer via software. 

    i. in particular, I think this would be useful for TVs especialy the large screen LCD TVs.  Right now there are stuff in the market that allow you to have wireless TV, but they have their own transmiter and receiver, making it cost too much.  But if the house has a wireless internet already through wireless router, they should be able to use the same network to transfer media back and forth to TV.  This way, they can easily record shows on their computer, they can connect their computer to their TV without the need of having an expensive video card with TV output or TV tuner. 
The ideal design here is something generic that can be connected to any device easily.

one it is connected, the software running on the device, automaticaly detects the wireless network, the router assigns it an IP address, and using that IP address through the network that device can talk to other devices.

Pedro, this one is a little bit challenging, but I think there is potentials in it.
