Document Delivery Services of the UT Libraries

 Overview

At the University of Tennessee Libraries, the delivery of documents (articles, book chapters, theses, as well as bound monographs and serials) is handled by several different departments and by several different methods. The three main units that handle these transactions are Digital Production, Library Express, and Interlibrary Loan, in cooperation with the branch libraries.

As the result of several organizational changes last year (2005), the workflows of these three units are now integrated. The purpose of this web site is to familiarize the Library's staff and patrons with those workflows and with all the services that fall under our "document delivery" purview.

Also included in every section are links to similar services or to new initiatives offered by peer institutions around the Southeastern United States.
