Distance Education

Digital Production also does the copying and scanning of incoming Distance Education requests. As a unit of UT Libraries' Reference Department, Distance Education offers library services to UT students who are located outside of Knoxville and are registered in distance education programs. Services are offered in collaboration with the University Outreach and Continuing Education Division of The University of Tennessee.

Library Express and DPS fill approximately 2000 Distance Education requests per year.

Students currently registered for credit courses at UT may request: reference or research assistance, instruction in the use of the libraries' resources, and books and copies of journal articles (through ILLiad).
