ILLiadThe lending side of Interlibrary Loan receives most of its requests through the ILLiad system. These requests can originate from OCLC, DOCline, and manual ALA forms. A request goes through several designations on ILLiad as it is being processed: "awaiting processing", "in stacks searching", "marked as found", and "item shipped". UT Libraries began using ILLiad in Fall 2000. Before that, we used OCLC and DocLine. Now over 48,000 book and article lending requests are filled each year through the ILLiad system. The Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida also use ILLiad, and have an extensive explanation of the different ILLiad statuses: http://illiad.uflib.ufl.edu/illiad/help.html#status. |
